As most of you have in your teenage years, I have also spent a large quantity of time stuck in the diablo universe. I started back in 1.08, and played through 1.10 pretty consistently. I had my account stolen by friends, and I also made a couple of 99's. But after a while, the game started to finally get old, and I think I understand Apocalypse Mod's appeal.

On Battle.net, once you have conquered the world, have full gear for any class you want, and can pretty much win any duel. Once you have done 1,000,000 meph runs, blasted pindle for fun and found a wf, after you have gotten a full skill GC set for your sorc, and made it to 1k orb damage. After you have done it all, what lies ahead? Make a necro? I don't think so.

Apocalypse Realm continues what Battle.net ended. In game, new godly gear sets, jewels, and charms create a completely new playing environment for us old timers. Remember when your occy was worth 3 sojs? Not anymore. A new currency has been established along with a completely new economy. The people you meet will give you the gear you need to get started and help you with any questions you have. Beyond that, the Uber's and pit runs make for a completely new level of difficulty in the game, adding the challenge most of us have forgot about.

The combination of the new economy, new areas like the Rips, Torments (extra 50 extended levels with end bosses), 1000 new items to find, 60 new sets, more stat points, more skill points, max level 125 and the attitude of the players creates an entirely new game in itself, while still set in the same universe. I stumbled upon the website accidentally, decided to try it out, and it has put the fun back into my favorite game of all time.

So I welcome you, newcomer, to try what I would call the rest of your life. And I thank you, Highlander and the rest of the crew, for giving me the opportunity to partake in a revolution in online gaming, one in which you are treated like a person and not a player, and everyone else feels the same.
